A bus was traveling from Chandigarh to Delhi. As soon as the bus departed from its depot, an elderly man, who was dressed in fine clothes, suddenly stood up from his seat at the front and attracted the attention of the other passengers. He said:
"My brothers and sisters, I am not a beggar. The Almighty has blessed me with many gifts, but my wife passed away after a long illness. Unfortunately, a few days ago, a massive fire broke out in my factory. I was in the import-export business, and all my goods were reduced to ashes. Some time passed, and then I suffered a heart attack. When my relatives realized that my bad days had begun, they also abandoned me. The doctors have given me little hope of survival.
This is my young daughter. After my death, there will be no one to look after her. I am more worried about her safety and honor than about my own condition."
As he spoke, his voice broke, and he started sobbing.
His daughter, who was sitting beside him, stood up and helped him back into his seat.
A little while later, a man sitting at the back of the bus stood up and said:
"I have two sons. One is a doctor and is already married, and the other, who is sitting beside me, is an engineer. I am looking for a bride for him. I request this elderly man to give his daughter’s hand in marriage to my son. I promise that she will never feel the absence of a father for as long as she lives."
The young man immediately stood up and said, "I accept this marriage because I respect my father."
After this, another gentleman stood up and said:
"This journey is turning out to be a very pleasant one! What could be better than a wedding taking place during a journey? If no one objects, I am willing to officiate the marriage right here."
Everyone in the bus started cheering and applauding.
That gentleman then performed the wedding ceremony in the moving bus.
Another passenger stood up and said, "I was on leave and was taking sweets home for my family, but this is such a joyous occasion that I feel it would be better to share the sweets with everyone here."
The bride’s father then requested the driver, "Driver sir, please stop the bus for 15 minutes so that everyone can celebrate and enjoy the sweets together."
The driver replied, "Alright, Baba Ji."
A little while later, as darkness began to fall, the girl’s father asked the driver to stop the bus. All the passengers got off and enjoyed the sweets together.
Moments after eating the sweets, every passenger fell into a deep sleep.
When the driver and conductor woke up the next morning at 6 AM, they discovered that the bride, the groom, their two fathers, the officiant, and the man who had distributed the sweets had all disappeared.
Not only that, but none of the passengers had their watches, chains, wallets, or any other belongings.
And that was how this six-member gang successfully looted the entire bus and escaped.
Note:
Please do not attend any wedding uninvited or without thinking it through. Otherwise, you might just end up in trouble!
